How some men obviate a women's (or a mother's) intellect

I can't wait until mothers revolutionize the workplace to make it inclusive of kids, and show that one can be a intellectual and productive without shutting out parenting, or family. Maintenance work however has got to disappear, it's a terrible use of time. Melinda Gates says that the predominantly male product developers are not bothering with creating technology that solves everyday problems, so maybe it is also women tech developers that will invent the real household robots. The question remains, if we can put the kids we love and the work we love in one spot, and not have tedious work to do, where do men fit in?

I found that it's not really the women who are excluding men from their plans, but it's rather some men who are excluding themselves, by not finding their family life "interesting". I occasionally meet men who need to be away from family to have an interesting conversation. I wonder why, given that other men cherish their talks with their wife regardless of other distractions. The excuse is sometimes that family is distracting, but experience showed me that when a man finds a women interesting he will find an opportunity to talk to her no matter how many kids are distracting her. I I also notice that this is more common in the west than the middle east.

I have never met Lebanese men who need to hang out with an exclusively male group, and when it happens to them it's from lack of choice! Men from my country never seemed to need to be away from women to have a good time, and don't associate women with flirting or distracting kids, and men with intelligence. I personally associate this need for male bonding with warrior cultures!

As Zaha Hadid said (a graduate from my old university in Beirut: AUB), men in the middle east don't hate women, and she encountered more male resistance in New York than Baghdad, as a female architect:
Contrary to popular view, I've never been patronized in the Middle East. Men maybe treat women differently, but they do not treat them with disrespect. They don't hate women. It's a very different kind of mentality. - Zaha Hadid - BrainyQuote:
Here's one of her quotes about men in Britain: “They’re not used to an opinionated woman” , “They’re scared of women.": http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/game-changing-architect-zaha-hadid-gets-the-google-doodle-she-deserves_us_592ed754e4b0e09b11ec8ea9 .
So is this why some men need to hang out with other men to have an supposedly intelligent conversation, and resist talking to women? Those don't represent all men of course, there is always the type who can be friends with -, as well as in a relationship with a woman, and who love talking with her.
