What Drives Success? or for that matter what drives sucess in rewarding our parents

in this article on What Drives Success?  (NYTimes), the author says :"It’s just much harder when you have to do it on your own, when you can’t draw on the cultural resources of a broader community, when you don’t have role models or peer pressure on your side."

This is true for wanting to do well in school and career, but also true for fulfilling our promise to our parents when we migrate away from them. This is why we need to build a culture of finanicing parents who live abroad, visitng them often and reuniting with them before it's too late.

Btw Lebanese expats count among those who have a recipe for success, in this NYT article.
